Keep it pressed till you don’t see the dialog box, or the screen doesn't go blank. Still, keep it holding for another 40 seconds, and after that release it. After some time, the charging light will start lighting again, and your Kindle device will get restarted again.

The second thing and the last solution is to reset your Kindle device. The reset can be done in two ways i.e. soft reset, and hard reset. For the soft reset, you need to simply slide down the power button and then release it. Wait for it to get restarted again. This is the soft reset procedure. If it has not helped you out, then there is a need for the hard reset for the Kindle device. For this, you need to slide down the power button and keep it pressed for 20 seconds.
